The piece BALLET is a homage of ALMA de LUCE® to an art that exposes the Man to its limit, inspiring us in the beautiful and immortality human spirit.
The word ballet comes from French and was borrowed into English around the 17th century. The French word in turn has its origins in Italian “Balletto” or “ball” stem from the Italian word "ballare", which means "to dance."
The history of ballet begins around 1500 in Italy (Italian Renaissance season). When Catherine de Medici of Italy married the French King Henry II, and became queen of France, she introduced early dance styles into the French court life.
