1. GINKGO Bed

The Ginkgo biloba is one of the oldest living tree species in the world. It's the sole survivor of an ancient group of trees that date back to before dinosaurs roamed the Earth – creatures that lived between 245 and 66 million years ago.

It’s so ancient, the species is known as a 'living fossil'. Fossils of Ginkgo leaves have been discovered that date back more than 200 million years. They are almost identical to the Ginkgo biloba tree leaves of today.

In this way, ALMA de LUCE designed GINKO Bed is an upholstered bed that celebrates nature through the visual and material lightness of the headboard.

The GINKGO Bed is the protagonist in every bedroom, inviting you to relax and rest.

Thanks to the embroidered and irregular shape headboard, designed by ALMA de LUCE, it combines timeless elegance with precious couture details.

2. MUDHIF Bench

MUDHIF Bench features a structure in solid walnut wood and natural leather that gives it a sober and elegant look. Need the perfect piece for your luxury living room decor? You just found it!

A mudhif (in Arabic: المضيف al-muḍīf) is a traditional reed house made by the Madan people in the swamps of southern Iraq, built from reeds harvested in the swamps where they live.

These structures have been built before Greek and Roman civilization, based on local needs, availability of construction materials and reflecting local traditions.

From some vernacular architectures in Middle East, ALMA de LUCE designed the MUDHIF Collection, which empowers stunning and contemporary interiors.

Featuring a uniquely shaped backrest, MUDHIF Bench is the ultimate expression of cozy luxury. The inspiration in the world's heritage gives them a new life, and the certainty of contributing to a better world.

3. TECELÃ Rug

ALMA de LUCE develops the TECELÃ Rug in homage and thanks to the portuguese women of the mountains, who for many years worked hard at the looms so that life could go on.

This rug represents the simple strength of these women, worthy ancestors of our roots, who were women of work and attachment to the family, multiplying themselves in tasks to be the life support of portuguese families over time.

In a fully digital era, ALMA de LUCE presents the TECELÃ Collection, which conveys a cultural identity through a minimalist and contemporary aesthetic.

Through their meanings and the stories they “tell” us, these pieces intend to make us know and understand the long history and tradition that Portuguese women had in building the history of weaving in Portugal.

4. GINKGO Side Table

The Ginkgo biloba stands as one of the most ancient tree species on Earth, with a history dating back to a time well before the age of dinosaurs, spanning from 245 to 66 million years ago.

Its remarkable antiquity has earned it the moniker of a 'living fossil.' Fossilized Ginkgo leaves, nearly indistinguishable from those of the contemporary Ginkgo biloba trees, have been unearthed, dating back over 200 million years.

Through the lovely GINKGO set of Side tables, ALMA de LUCE draws attention to a very solitary species of wild trees, almost extinct due to climate change.

GINKGO Side Table, a piece that is part of GINKGO Collection, is the new perfect complement to your home decor. With their naturally elegant design, the GINKGO Side tables bring natural nobility and aesthetic refinement into any room.

5. Takeami Armchair

Bamboo weaving (竹編み, takeami) is a form of bambooworking and a traditional Japanese craft with a range of different applications, weaving styles and appearances. Japanese bamboo weaving is particularly well known for its use in basket weaving.

Takeami Armchair was born to pay tribute to the Japanese traditions. This Takeami Armchair is full of details on its back side. The contemporary piece will add personality to any space in contemporary decorations.

As Takeami Armchair, you can find other Armchairs to boost your Projects on our book of Armchairs Inspiration Design Book.
